Ormus for Plants Survey Results: What Gardeners Are Experiencing
We recently surveyed our plant-focused Ormus customers to understand how they are using Ormus in their gardens and what results they are seeing. The responses — gathered from home gardeners, market growers, and permaculture practitioners — paint a consistent and compelling picture of what Ormus does for plant health and garden productivity.
Survey Highlights
When asked what changes they noticed after introducing Ormus minerals to their garden, the responses clustered around several consistent themes. The most commonly reported observation was improved plant vigor — stronger stems, deeper green foliage, and a general quality of robustness that distinguished Ormus-treated plants from untreated controls in the same garden. More than 80% of respondents who had grown the same varieties with and without Ormus reported a visible difference in plant health within the first three to four weeks of application.
The second most common observation was improved yield. Fruiting plants — tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash — produced more fruit per plant in Ormus-treated plots. Root vegetables were larger and more uniform. Leafy greens were more prolific and showed less bolting. Berry plants produced more abundant crops with better flavor profiles.
How Gardeners Are Using Ormus for Plants
The survey revealed several distinct application methods in common use among our plant customers. Soil drenching — applying diluted Ormus directly to the root zone — was the most popular method, used by approximately 65% of respondents. Foliar spraying — misting diluted Ormus directly onto leaves — was used by 45% of respondents, often in combination with soil drenching. Seed soaking before planting was used by 30% of respondents, primarily to enhance germination rates and early seedling vigor.
The most commonly used dilution ratios ranged from 1 tablespoon per gallon of water for regular maintenance applications to 2-3 tablespoons per gallon for intensive applications during periods of active growth or recovery from stress.
What Gardeners Want to Know
The survey also gathered questions and areas of interest from our plant customers. The most common questions were about application frequency, the best time of day to apply Ormus, compatibility with other organic amendments, and how to use Ormus for specific challenging plants including orchids, roses, and tropical species.
